About
David Feinleib is a Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures
I invest in Internet-enabled companies.
Prior to joining MDV, I founded two venture funded and two boot-strapped tech startups between 2000 and 2004. Two of those have been acquired.
While in business school at Stanford, I ran a profitable online advertising business. Before that, I founded Likewise, a venture funded open source company providing interoperability software for mixed Windows and Linux environments.
I was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Ignition Partners, where I co-founded and was VP of Product Management at Consera Software (HPQ). Prior to Consera, I co-founded and was CEO of onDevice (KEYN), a wireless software company. It’s remarkable just how far mobile devices have come since those early days.
I have always loved delivering a great user experience. Before onDevice, I led marketing and development teams at Microsoft where I managed the Out of Box Experience team for Windows and worked on television and internet access services.
My first entrepreneurial endeavor was in junior high school when I developed and sold ShareWare programs. I still remember getting that first check in the mail for $10.
I am on the boards of Likewise Software, doxo and VirtuOz and am a board observer at Visible Measures. I sourced Mohr Davidow Ventures’ investments in Genius, hi5, Infusionsoft, Ironkey, and PBWorks. I recently recruited my old friend and gaming legend Alex St. John to join hi5 as President and CTO.
I have a B.A. from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, and building software programs like MailOverload and various web sites.
